A Mirage

10/27/2005
As I lay down and close my eyes,
I feel the sun above,
With her fingers caressing my face and skin.
The soft sand beneath my back,
I feel my body sinking.
The hypnotic waters not far in the distance.
My mind falls in to oblivion,
Slowly fades the world away,
I hang in the comforts of bliss.
An image begins to unfold,
A perfectly shaped nose,
The eyes deep in color,
The lips of lustful flavors.

The hair like flowing waters,
Freely cascading from the shoulders.
The voice sweet and melodic,
A girl of my dreams, so innocent and perfict.

Her skin, like the surface of a still pond,
Smooth, warm, and lovely to touch upon.
Her words so gentle and caring,
All my heart to her I'll be sharing.

Adventures of plenty shall we embark,
Dedicated to each other, not to part.
A smile on her face day to day,
To keep her happy like flowering May.

I'll hold her close in April showers,
I'll be there when her fear cowards,
I'll give her comfort when she feels inadiquit,
And assure her heart that she is it.

If there are others, I'll gladly say,
My heart is hers, from now to the next day.
When storm is wild and unbearing,
I'll shield her fears with my caring.

Leaning close in soft whispers,
Warm embrace as I kiss her.
A flooding of joy as I fall,
Fading in the distance I hear her call
It was my name so clearly,
Now gone as I'm back in reality.
The sun is now down,
The waters muffle my sadness,
The sand, now rough and cold.
It is time for me to go,
Go and seek for the girl,
The one who capture my heart.
But where do I look?
